The Challenge

A Jakarta-based venture capital firm with a portfolio spanning fintech, consumer technology, and digital infrastructure was expanding its investment team. The firm needed a Senior Vice President of Investment to lead deal origination, manage due diligence processes, and take board observer seats at portfolio companies.

The brief required a specific combination. The SVP needed genuine investment execution experience: sourcing, structuring, and closing deals, not only portfolio monitoring or investor relations. The person also needed a strong network within Indonesia's startup ecosystem to drive proprietary deal flow.
